Sanshin Kako is considering reducing the burden on the environment, for the rich living that enjoys food and health, and we are working on environmental conservation throughout the company.
As one of them, in 2005 we acquired the first ISO 14001: 2004 (Environmental Management System Standard) certification at the Chiba Factory in the meal tableware industry. Also, since 2009, we have actively participated in the trial project of the carbon footprint system, which METI is the main initiative.
We will continue to build recycling-oriented society through the production of cutlery, and will continue to provide environmentally friendly products.


Public series

[Public series] is an Eco Mark certified product using recycled raw materials. It is made up of bright colors and pastel shades so as to bring bright and pleasant meal times. Especially chopsticks are reputed to be very easy to hold in shape like a pencil.

I made the hand part the same hexagon as the pencil and made it very easy to hold. The tip portion is made into a square shape so that the food material is not slippery, and it is subjected to emboss processing (special uneven processing). The color has a POP color that makes meals fun.
The material is polyethylene naphthalate which has been proven as a tableware for school lunch, and it is reinforced with glass fiber so it has a moderate elasticity and heat resistance, it is durable and excellent in safety. It is the best chopsticks for lunch feeding with no color shift due to ingredients.
It uses recycled plastics and is good in safety without using additives.
